A smile came across his face, the girl’s tone seemed more childish than usual. He thought to himself how bad her parents could be but he could probably handle anything that came towards him
“Don’t worry I’m sure they’d understand that I am just returning you to your home, what do you say if we get if we get ice cream on our way back huh?”
✿ - - hearing the phrase “ ice-cream ” made millianna stand a little straighter. her nose twitched, tongue ran over her lips, her brain started imagining all the different flavors she could possibly consume. it won’t hurt to just get ice cream with him, milli, a small voice inside the mage’s head chided. you can just give him the slip after anyways. pursing her lips, the girl spoke.
“iguess we can go get some ice cream. but, hey, mister, if you get beat up when you return me home, it’s not my problem. ”
This little girl reminded him of how he was when he was little always trying to be self dependent. Looking around the area for town he turned his head from left to right.
“I’ll take you there in that case, its not safe for a little girl to travel on her own. I’ll be like your own personal bodyguard, how does that sound?”
✿ - - millianna has honestly traveled this path hundreds of times across the past few years, and it honestly hadn’t changed at all, and it hardly changed between seasons. however, the girl didn’t want to be overly rude to dan, but then again, he’d probably be chopped to mince-meat if he ventured near mermaid heel.
“i dunno, mister… ” millianna whispered, trying to conform her vocabulary into a more childish tone. “my parents can be pretty scary… "
Dan was somewhat surprised this girl had a large vocabulary for someone of her age but it didn’t really matter. This was a lost little girl and she probably had parent’s looking for her, he thought he’d do his good deed of the day and help her reunite with them if she had any.
“So little girl do you have a family? Are you lost or hurt?”
✿ - - millianna hadn’t had the proper time to look around and observe her surroundings, so she did that as dan was speaking to her. she almost immediately recognized the scenery, identifying it as the woods before you arrive in mermaid heel’s hometown.
“um… well, i just live in the town over there… so i could probably find my way back by myself, myaa… "
This was strange most kids wouldn’t be so rude to him but still that wouldn’t make him stop making this kid from liking him. So he crouched down to her level
“Little girl if I don’t know what I did to make you so upset at me, would you mind telling me?”
✿ - - millianna was confused. maybe the man didn’t recognize her face since she had been transformed into a child? she, of course, recognized him from her travels. he hadn’t had the most pleasing personality, flirting with almost every girl in his line of sight. she was pretty sure that he wouldn’t try to hit on a little girl, so she tried to have faith in him.
“sorry, you just…. reminded me of someone, myaa. someone i’m not overly fond of. ”
✿ - - there might have been some people that millianna would have been glad to be stuck with when she was turned into a child, but dan straight was not one of them. glancing at the man with narrowed eyes, she slowly shied away from him.
“i don’t know what’s going on, but - i’m not gonna get too close to you, even if i’m just a kitten now!! “
